Broward County Average Home Sales Prices

I was reviewing the average home sale prices in Broward County for last year and decided to compare them to the year before to see where we stood.

The Average home sales prices for Broward County were down in 2009 as compared to 2008. This includes Broward County Short Sales and Foreclosures

The average home sales price for homes in Broward County for 2009 was $252,669 and the peak was in March of 2009 at $290,000. As you can tell from the chart below, the average Broward County homes for sale prices were much higher than the average sold price.

In comparison, the average sales price for a Single Family Home in Broward County for 2008 was $356,333. Sale prices were at their peak in January 2008 at $468,000. Wow! What a difference a year makes!

The upside is that in 2009 there were 13,477 Single Family home sales in Broward County with the help of a Realtor whereas there were only 9,081 Realtor assisted Broward County single family homes sold in 2008.
